NC&TC Run Coaching - Restarted

Who? Our run coach is Eliot Bentley, who holds a UK Athletics level 2 coach in running fitness licence and has 10 years experience with our club. These sessions are suitable for anyone over the age of 13 years and of any ability or fitness.

What? Each session starts with a warm-up jog, followed by a mobilisation and dynamic stretching routine. Over the winter months, the focus is given to hill reps and interval work. These help to improve strength and endurance, along with supporting power. During the summer months, our sessions are held on Newmarket Academy’s playing field and involve extra agility hurdle work, along with running strides, prior to a track session.

When? Our coached run sessions are on Monday evenings at 6.30 pm-7.45 pm, leaving from Newmarket Leisure Centre, Exning Road, Newmarket, CB8 0EA. During the summer months, we run on the school track adjoining the Leisure Centre.

How much? Our coached sessions are included within the overall cost of our annual membership fee.
